About myenergi

Solar-smart EV charging that makes the most of your rooftop

myenergi brings solar-aware EV charging, flexible installation options and app-based control together so households can charge from their own rooftop solar.

myenergi focuses on solar-smart EV charging, offering single and three-phase chargers in tethered or untethered formats. Its approach is designed to prioritise surplus rooftop solar and coordinate charging with household energy use.

  • Solar-matched charging

The charger can prioritise surplus rooftop solar so vehicles charge from self-generated energy.

  • Flexible installation

Single or three-phase and tethered or untethered options suit different homes and switchboards.

  • App-based control

A companion app supports charge scheduling, modes and monitoring of energy use.

In Sunbridge’s eyes

The brand that pioneered solar-matched charging

myenergi is the British brand that effectively created this category — it built the zappi, widely credited as the world’s first solar-matched EV charger, out of a Grimsby workshop in 2016 and has since shipped over half a million devices. It opened an Australian HQ in 2021 specifically because our rooftop-solar density and sunshine suit what zappi does best.

  • Eco+ mode charges purely on the excess solar that would otherwise be exported.
  • One CT clamp (or the wireless harvi sensor) drops it into most existing PV systems cleanly.
  • Single-phase 7 kW and three-phase 22 kW, tethered or untethered.
  • One app across zappi, eddi and libbi — charger, hot water and battery all talk to each other.
Best suited to

solar homes wanting true surplus-only charging and a proven ecosystem — less compelling with no PV, where a plain smart charger does the same job for less.

Warranty & compliance
  • myenergi provides a manufacturer warranty on the Zappi (3 years as standard, with extended cover available on registration). Sunbridge confirms the current term for your unit and registers the warranty on your behalf.
  • These are the manufacturer’s terms; your guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law apply in addition.
Rebates & payback guidance
  • Some states and territories offer rebates or incentives for home EV chargers, and pairing charging with rooftop solar and off-peak tariffs can meaningfully cut running costs.
  • Sunbridge checks what applies to your address, and factors available incentives and the best charging setup into your quote.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Zappi is a Mode 3 home EV charger with three charging modes. In ECO and ECO+ it charges from your surplus rooftop solar (ECO+ uses only excess generation that would otherwise be exported), while FAST charges at the maximum available rate from solar or grid. That lets you power more of your driving with your own green energy.
