Solar Mode prioritises your surplus rooftop solar — the excess generation you would otherwise export cheaply — and uses it to charge the car. It works with an EcoFlow PowerOcean battery so charging can also draw on stored solar, and it supports third-party solar too, so you do not need an EcoFlow battery to benefit.

It comes as 7.4 kW single-phase or 22 kW three-phase. Those are the headline maximum ratings; continuous charging is typically around 3.7 kW single-phase or 11 kW three-phase depending on the model and your supply. Sunbridge recommends the right version based on your switchboard capacity and supply type.

Smart Mode blends surplus solar with grid power to keep a steady charge. Solar Mode charges only from excess solar. Fast Charging draws the maximum available rate regardless of source, like an ordinary charger. Scheduled Mode shifts charging into your cheapest off-peak tariff windows, which suits time-of-use plans.

Yes. Multi-vehicle dynamic load balancing measures your existing household load and shares the available power across chargers, holding total demand within your supply limit. That lets a two-EV household charge overnight without tripping the switchboard, and can help avoid a costly supply upgrade.
