About GoodWe
GoodWe brings AC EV charging into the same platform as its solar inverters and batteries, so households can charge from surplus solar and manage everything from one app.
GoodWe develops solar inverters, battery storage and EV charging within one connected platform. Its HCA Series AC chargers are designed to prioritise surplus rooftop solar and coordinate charging with a GoodWe solar and storage system.
Solar generation, battery storage and EV charging are managed together through the GoodWe SEMS platform.
Single and three-phase models span 7 kW to 22 kW to suit different homes and switchboards.
Paired with a GoodWe PV and storage system, the charger can prioritise surplus rooftop solar for the car.
In Sunbridge’s eyes
GoodWe built its Australian name as a value inverter and battery brand, and the HCA charger extends that same ecosystem to the driveway — a tethered Type 2 AC charger in 7 kW single-phase and 11/22 kW three-phase, all sitting inside the one SEMS app alongside your GoodWe inverter and Lynx Home or ESA battery. Its real pitch isn’t standalone charging spec; it’s that a household already running GoodWe hardware can push 100% surplus solar into the car and manage PV, battery and charging from a single screen. If you’re not already on GoodWe gear there are sharper standalone chargers — but as the fourth piece of a GoodWe home, it’s a clean, cost-effective fit.
homes already running a GoodWe inverter or ESA/Lynx Home battery that want EV charging in the same app and running on surplus solar, rather than buyers shopping for the smartest standalone charger.

FAQ
It is an AC (Mode 3, Type 2) home EV charger that runs within GoodWe’s energy ecosystem. It comes in three models — GW7K-HCA (7 kW single-phase), GW11K-HCA (11 kW three-phase) and GW22K-HCA (22 kW three-phase) — and is monitored and managed through the GoodWe SEMS platform alongside GoodWe solar and storage.
When it is paired with a GoodWe PV and storage system, the charger can prioritise your surplus solar — up to 100% of it — so the car charges from the excess generation you would otherwise export. How much solar reaches the car depends on your system size, the time you charge and your household demand at the time.
The GW7K-HCA (7 kW, 32 A) suits a single-phase supply, while the GW11K-HCA (11 kW, 16 A) and GW22K-HCA (22 kW, 32 A) suit three-phase homes and charge faster. Sunbridge recommends the right model based on your switchboard, supply type and how quickly you need to charge.
Yes. It is rated IP66 (dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets) with a C5 anti-corrosion rating designed for heavy industrial and coastal salt-air environments, so it is suitable for permanent indoor or outdoor installation. It can be wall- or pole-mounted.
