1. Consumer Protection & Your Rights

We are committed to fair, transparent dealing and full compliance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). These Terms and Conditions are to be read consistently with your rights under the ACL.

Your rights under any contractual warranty provided by us are in addition to your consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. These consumer guarantees are not excluded or replaced by this contract.

2. Proposal Acceptance

• This proposal is valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
• Acceptance of this proposal constitutes agreement to these terms and conditions.
• Work will commence upon receipt of quote acceptance (electronic or signed) and deposit payment.
• Site Inspection Clause: if a company representative has not conducted a site visit prior to quote acceptance, we reserve the right to withdraw or revise this quote if switchboard modifications, electrical upgrades, or other unforeseen site conditions are discovered.

Quote acceptance (via this page, email or signature) constitutes a binding contract. A formal contract document will be provided before work commences. Electronic acceptance is permitted and constitutes valid, binding acceptance.

3. Payment Terms

You may pay by bank transfer (preferred), credit card (processing fees apply), or cash (deposits only, maximum $10,000).

Bank details for your deposit and payments are shown in the payment section of this proposal and on your invoice.

• Deposit: 10% of total contract value - required to secure your installation date and order equipment.
• On delivery of equipment: 40% of total contract value.
• On completion of installation: 50% of total contract value - due within 7 days of completion and commissioning of the system.
• All payments must be made within 7 days of invoice date. Interest may be charged on overdue accounts at 2% per month.

4. Cooling-Off and Termination Rights

You have cooling-off and termination rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the right to terminate a sales agreement within 10 business days if the sale resulted from an unsolicited sale.

You are entitled to terminate this contract and receive a full refund if:

• Site-specific design issues: we provide you with a site-specific installation design and performance estimate as an initial deliverable under the contract, and within 10 business days of receiving them you notify us that you do not accept them.
• Significant design changes: we propose to significantly change the system installation design from that previously provided, and you are not willing to accept the change.
• Additional site costs: site conditions beyond our control result in extra chargeable work not within the contract price, and we are not willing to bear those additional costs.
• Delivery delays: we fail to meet the timeframe specified in your contract for delivery and installation, unless the delay was caused by circumstances identified in your contract as outside our control.

The deposit cannot be treated as non-refundable if you cancel during the statutory cooling-off period or if any of the refund scenarios above occur.

5. Warranties

• Solar PV, inverter and battery systems: 10-year workmanship warranty on installation labour.
• Heat pump hot water systems: 10-year workmanship warranty on installation labour.
• EV charger systems: workmanship warranty matching the original equipment manufacturer warranty period.
• General electrical work: 12-month workmanship warranty on other electrical installation labour.

Warranty claims must be reported promptly and in writing. Warranties may be voided by unauthorised modifications, damage, or misuse, and are conditional upon adherence to payment terms. These warranties are in addition to the manufacturer product warranties and your ACL consumer guarantees.

6. Energy Network Connection

If your system requires approval from your energy supplier for connection to the network and/or reconfiguration of your meter, we will arrange network connection approval on your behalf for the fee specified in your quote (or you may choose to obtain it yourself - we will support you with all documentation). Approval typically takes 5-20 business days. Your energy supplier may impose charges for connection or meter reconfiguration; these are separate from our installation costs.

7. Permits and Inspections

Local council permits, electrical inspections and certifications are included in the quoted price. All necessary compliance documentation will be provided upon completion.

8. Installation

• Installation is arranged at a mutually agreed date and time; you must provide safe and clear access to the installation area during standard business hours.
• Any variations to the quoted work will be communicated in writing and may affect final pricing.
• We are not responsible for pre-existing electrical issues discovered during installation.
• Installation may be postponed due to adverse weather for safety reasons, equipment availability, energy supplier approvals, or other circumstances beyond our control.

9. Complaints Handling

We will acknowledge receipt of complaints as soon as possible, aim to respond within 15 business days, and provide a final response within 25 business days unless a further extension is agreed. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Energy and Water Ombudsman in your state or your state consumer affairs body.

10. Exclusions

Excluded from our standard service: structural repairs or reinforcements to roof or mounting surfaces; electrical upgrades beyond the solar system installation (additional quotes available); removal of obstacles affecting installation or system performance; ongoing maintenance unless specified in a separate agreement; any asbestos-related work (requires separate specialist contractors).

11. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellation prior to equipment ordering: full refund less 10% administration fee (subject to your ACL termination rights, which may override this clause).
• Cancellation after equipment ordering: deposit non-refundable, except where your statutory termination rights apply.
• Cancellation after installation commencement: client liable for costs incurred plus 15% restocking fee.
• Neither party is liable for delays due to circumstances beyond reasonable control.

The above cancellation terms are subject to your superior rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the contract. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses. System performance estimates are based on industry standard calculations and actual results may vary due to weather, shading, and usage patterns.

13. Deferred Payment Arrangements

Any deferred payment arrangement offered must be through a credit provider licensed under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth) and regulated by the NCCPA and the National Credit Code.

14. General Terms

• We reserve the right to use installation images for marketing purposes unless you opt out in writing.
• Your information is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
• All work complies with relevant Australian standards and regulations.
• Disputes will be resolved through mediation before legal proceedings.
• Any modifications to this contract must be in writing and agreed by both parties.
